Terms & Conditions

These Terms & Conditions (“T&Cs”) apply to all cricket coaching sessions, programmes, and events provided by Fledglings Cricket (“we”, “our”, “us”). By booking a session or programme, parents/guardians (“you”, “your”, “participant”) agree to the following:

1. Bookings & Payments

  • All bookings must be made in advance through our booking system/website.
  • Full payment is required to secure a place. Unpaid bookings may be cancelled without notice.
  • Fees are non-refundable except where specified under our Cancellation & Refund Policy (see section 2).

2. Cancellation & Refund Policy

  • Parent cancellation: If you cancel more than 2 days before the start of a session/programme, a refund (minus admin fee of £5.00) will be issued. No refunds will be given for cancellations within 2 days.
  • Missed sessions: No refunds or credits are offered if a participant cannot attend due to illness, injury, or personal reasons.
  • Coach cancellation: If we cancel a session/programme (e.g. due to weather or coach unavailability), you will be offered a rescheduled date or credit/refund.

3. Supervision & Responsibility

  • Parents/guardians must ensure children are dropped off and collected promptly.
  • We are responsible for participants only during the advertised session times.
  • Parents must inform us of any medical conditions, allergies, or additional needs before booking.

4. Health & Safety

  • Cricket is a physical sport, and participation carries inherent risks.
  • Protective equipment (e.g. helmets, pads, gloves) must be worn when required.
  • Participants must follow the coach’s instructions at all times to ensure safety.
  • We reserve the right to remove any participant who is disruptive, unsafe, or fails to follow instructions, without refund.

5. Injuries & Insurance

  • We are insured for public liability; however, we strongly recommend participants have personal accident/injury insurance.
  • Parents/guardians accept that minor injuries (e.g. bruises, scrapes) may occur in the normal course of play.

6. Photography & Media

  • We may take photos/videos during sessions for coaching feedback, promotional, and social media purposes.
  • If you do not wish your child to be included, please inform us in writing before the session.

7. Behaviour & Code of Conduct

  • Participants are expected to show respect to coaches, teammates, and facilities.
  • Bullying, inappropriate behaviour, or damage to property will not be tolerated.
  • Parents/guardians may be asked to collect their child immediately if behaviour breaches this code, with no refund provided.

8. Weather Policy

  • Sessions will continue in light rain where safe to do so.
  • In cases of dangerous weather (e.g. thunderstorms, extreme heat), sessions may be shortened, paused, or rescheduled.

9. Data Protection

  • We will only collect and store personal data necessary for bookings, communication, and safeguarding.
  • We comply with GDPR and will not share your information with third parties without consent.

10. Acceptance of Terms

By booking a session/programme with Fledglings Cricket, you confirm that you:

  • Have read and understood these T&Cs.
  • Accept responsibility for ensuring your child complies with safety and behaviour rules.
  • Consent to medical treatment being administered in the event of an emergency, if you cannot be contacted.
